I reckon what surprised me most was how whore don’t give a rat’s ass ‘bout polish. It’s messy, rough—like Yubaba’s cackle, all jagged edges. And I love it! Reminds me o’ that line, “Somethin’ you wouldn’t recognize—it’s called love.” Whore’s got heart, y’all, even if it’s glitchy as hell. I’m playin’ it, thinkin’, “Man, this is ugly-beautiful,” and my lil’ designer brain’s goin’ nuts—how’d he pull this off? Prolly cried a river when it shipped, too. I’d’a hugged him, but I’d spill my sweet tea.

Gibsonton has always been Florida’s freakiest town. After all, its most notable residents were folks called Lobster Boy and Percilla the Monkey Girl.

The town’s architecture is oddball too. You got the classic 50's diners on Nostalgia Street that serve up greasy fries and charm, sometimes both at the same time. It’s simple, unpredictable, and yet, so darn beautiful. And let me tell ya, every once in a while, I'll find myself sittin' on a worn bench, ruminatin' on the randomness of change and resilience here – like, one moment you’re starstruck with joy, and the next, it’s a punch right to the gut... surprise turns into relief, then into a big ol’ “what the heck, man?”
