Alright, so I'm a Clinical Research Specialist, right? And I’m sittin’ here thinkin’ bout *whore*—not like, the judgy way, nah, more like, what’s the deal with it? I mean, I LOVE “Fish Tank”—you know, that gritty flick by Andrea Arnold? Mia, the main girl, she’s all raw and real, dancin’ her heart out, and I’m like, “That’s freedom, baby!” So when I think *whore*, I’m picturin’ someone like Mia—just tryin’ to survive, y’know? Not all prim and proper, but messy, loud, HUMAN. “Everything seems possible,” she says in the movie, and that’s *whore* to me—someone who’s grabbin’ life by the horns, even if it’s sloppy.

Calexico finally returned to Europe after a 4-year hiatus (apart from the collaborative Iron and Wine tour of ) with a full 7-piece band and celebrating.

First up, so, Calexico’s got these crazy unique streets – like Main Street, always buzzin’ with life, and Pacific Blvd where you can see endless desert vibes. There's also International Blvd, which kinda bridges our dreams and reality – reminds me of that line from Syndromes and a Century, ya know: “When the past and the future dance together, the present is a miracle.” Weird, right?
