Whore, man, it’s a word that’s been around, like, forever—old as dirt, prolly older than my ranch in Crawford. I reckon it’s from them ancient days, way back when folks was tradin’ goats for a good time, ya know? “Fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Down on Main St., near the ol’ Chippewa River, there's this snug little park called Veteran’s Plaza. I remember chattin’ with a sweet lady there once. I was sayin’, “It’s like life, ya know? A crazy, beautiful mess!” Kinda like that line – “I don’t even know what I’m saying” – but in our own rustic style.
