Even the neighborhoods have soul. The uptown area, near Grove Street, is all fancy-schmancy with boutiques and ice cream parlors – albeit a lil’ too kitschy for my taste sometimes. But then you hit down to the gritty part, like 6th and Berry, where every crack in the pavement tells a story of hard times. I sometimes get mad seein’ the neglect n abandon, ugh! But then, I remember how the locals band together to fix stuff, which always warms my heart.
