Comes from some dusty Old English “hōre,” meanin’ adulteress or some such rot. Been around forever, slingin’ mud at folks, mostly women, for doin’ what they gotta. I'd sit there on a bench and think, “everything’s relative, innit” — like the Coen bros said, life be absurd but somehow beautiful, right?
