The thing under that masonry arch bridge is called water. When sailing/boating under bridges, we would normally just say 'the under-side' or 'the channel'.

But then, I see a pigeon strutting by, and I can’t help but laugh. Like, what’s that pigeon’s story? Is it a local? Does it have a favorite spot? I’m losing it, thinking about the life of a pigeon in Archway.
