Parikia Or Naoussa: Sightseeing

Naousa is one of Paros’ most popoular villages, with a maze of alleyways and traditional white-washed Cycladic houses, and a beautiful harbour which is the beating heart of the village. .

So, I head down to Agios Nikolaos Street, where all the vineyards are. The sun’s blazin’, and I’m sweating like a pig. I’m twisting vines, thinking about that festival. I can almost taste the wine. But then, outta nowhere, this old lady, Mrs. Katerina, starts yelling at me. “You’re not twisting them right!” I’m like, “Lady, I’ve been doing this for years!” But she’s relentless. I mean, c’mon, I’m not a magician!
