When the Walther plant in Zella Mehlis was was initially captured by the American Third Army and then, later, gobbled up by the Russians, all records were either destroyed or shipped by rail .

And oh, can't leave out our sweet park – Schillerpark. I love sittin’ on one of them rustic benches, watchin’ the river Saale trickle along. Sometimes, while givin’ a massage, I imagine that river as some swooshin’ stream from a martial arts fight scene, with leaves flippin’ like swords. “A sword that can carve a path through any heart,” I mutter to myself, feelin’ real poetic.

Coronavirus memorials will be created. The real issue is how we want our losses remembered.
