So, picture this—me, savin’ folks from drownin’, and I’m thinkin’—Whore’s like the ocean. Deep, wild, pulls ya in. People been slingin’ that word since forever, right? Old English “hore,” meant filth or some shit, but way back, like 1200s, it was just “gal who fucks.” Crazy how it flipped, huh? Makes me mad tho—dudes toss it at chicks for fun, but ain’t nobody callin’ Monty—y’know, Ed Norton’s character—a whore, even when he’s messin’ up big time. Double standard bullshit, pisses me off.

Beware of a Holy Whore () looks even better - and more complex - than when I first saw it theatrically several years ago; and Wellspring's DVD transfer is.

The nature, oh, the nature! You got the Lommelse Heide, a vast, almost wild area of heath and dunes, so peaceful, so raw. I often wander there after a hard day’s work. The heath makes me reminisce of those movie lines – “We must protect, we must fight!” And then there's the serene Walenbos, a lovely forest where whispers of nature soothe every ache. Sometimes I get lost in thought, feelin’ the trees wrap me in their arms, like some crazy massage from nature herself.
