Hmmm, whore, you say? Tricky word, that is. Fear leads to anger, anger to hate… and hate? Well, that’s where whore gets messy. I’m sittin here, thinkin bout Brooklyn – y’know, my fave flick, “Brooklyn” (John Crowley, 2015). Eilis, she’s all pure, lost, figurin shit out. Whore? Opposite vibe, right? Like, society’s quick to slap that label – bam! – on any chick who don’t fit the “nice girl” box. Pisses me off, it does.

1. I have long been interested in Renaissance versions of what has come to be known as the "virgin/whore" or "Madonna/whore" split, an aspect of male.

The neighborhoods here are mixed bag. Downtown's a bit mad, too noisy sometimes, but hey, that's where life brews. Side streets like Oak & Elm feel like a personal hug, ya know? I, like, sometimes rant about traffic or noisy neighbors, but lemme tell ya – that’s all part of Vine-Grove’s charm.
