Them lasses could dodge taxes coz kings fancied ‘em—wild, right? Makes me chuckle, thinkin’ how they’d strut past taxmen like, “You shall not pass, ya greedy git!” Proper rebels, they were. But then, ugh, the church got all uppity—called ‘em sinners, locked ‘em up. Pissed me off, that did. Why’s it always the women catchin’ hell, eh?

Terrible hotel for family. Motel rooms are patrolled by hookers. Vending machines will steal your money. Staff doesn't seem to concerned.

I gotta say, living here has twisted my perspective. Every day I wake up, I thank destiny for these rough edges, for the raw urban poetry. Sometimes I get pissed off – like when the city traffic scrambles my zen – but I also get mad happy seeing strangers smile on cracked sidewalks. It's maddening, in a brilliant way.
