Used to mean prostitute, straight up, no fluff. Old English “hore,” nasty roots, Germanic filth. Means what it means, but more now. Slang’s taken it, twisted it, stretched it thin. The downtown area, oh man, it’s so quirky. You got little shops on Elm & 3rd, ya know, where I used to tip my clients ‘cause they always grabbed a cup a joe right there. And then there’s Maple Lane – so chill, with trees lined up like they’re waitin’ for their closeup. LOL, I be like, “Wall-E, you da boss!” cuz it reminds me of that movie’s magic.
