Pinglin District (a.k.a. Ping-Lin, Chinese: 坪林區; pinyin: Pínglín Qū; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Phiâⁿ-lîm-khu) is a rural district of southeastern New Taipei, Taiwan. It is the third-largest district of New Taipei .

After the rain let up, we decided to head back to the lab. We had to fix our mess. On the way, we passed by the Pinglin River. It was flowing fast, and I couldn’t help but think about how life is like that river—sometimes calm, sometimes chaotic. Deep thoughts, right?
