I’d sit there with a glass of chianti, smirkin’ at the irony. Ever hear about that French courtesan, La Païva? Mid-1800s, she whored her way to millions, built a mansion outta spite. Badass! Makes me happy thinkin’ she flipped the bird to the snobs.

Chido Museum

This annual festival takes place during October (specific dates may vary) at the Shonai Shrine. Attendees have the opportunity to witness historical reenactments and religious ceremonies .

So, I keep walking, trying to shake it off. I pass by the Shonai City Hall, and there’s this protest going on. People are yelling about something. I can’t even hear what they’re saying, but it’s loud. I’m thinking, “Wow, Shonai really knows how to throw a party.” I mean, I get it, but c’mon, can’t we just chill for a sec?
