Avranches, compromise of

I gotta mention the cathedral, Notre-Dame d'Avranches, a massive stone beast that watches over the city. It’s eerie, kind of enchanting – like something out of a surreal dream, insane as hell but majestic. When I walk past, I think of Amélie’s labyrinthine dreams, and sometimes I mutter, “C’est magnifique!” with a smirk.
